This program is focused on onboarding universities to AWS Academy program and introducing AWS Educate to empower higher education institutions to prepare students for industry-recognized certifications and careers in the cloud.

According to LinkedIn data, cloud computing is the number one hard skill companies need most. AWS Academy provides higher education institutions with a free, ready-to-teach cloud computing curriculum that prepares students to pursue industry-recognized certifications and in-demand cloud jobs. Our curriculum helps educators stay at the forefront of AWS Cloud innovation so that they can equip students with the skills they need to get hired in one of the fastest-growing industries.

For Educators are given complimentary professional development that enhance their own research capacity and industry knowledge, access to AWS Technical Program Manager mentorship and support, and a pathway to pursue certification. .
For Students learn up-to-date skills on cloud technology with learning content developed by AWS and resources that prepare them for in-demand IT jobs. They also have the opportunity to pursue industry-recognized AWS Certification. .

AWS Academy Recommended Learning Paths
AWS Academy Forums
A Central Point of Contact (CPOC) from the institution submits the application to become an AWS Academy Member Institution. This should be documented with a letter of delegation from each university applying to this program under the MoHESR and AWS collaboration agreement.
The application is reviewed by the AWS Academy Program Manager (PM) for approval.
If approved, CPOC
Signs the Terms & Conditions.
Agrees to the Program Guide
Nominates themselves and/or other educators for access to AWS Academy courses and Learner Lab.
AWS Academy costs & time investment
Free for institutions to enroll.
Complimentary training and resources for educators.
Students and educators receive discounts on AWS Certification exams (cost = USD $50 for Foundational level exam, USD $75 for Associate level exams) *.
Educators should expect to spend approximately 8 hours per week over an average of 6-8 weeks to prepare for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam.
AWS Academy is global, corporate social responsibility initiative. As such the program is available to institutions at no cost.
The program requires time and effort from educators. We provide complimentary resources and aim to make the accreditation process more attainable while still maintaining a high-quality bar.

Claim your badge and showcase your achievement

For educators, we have badges to celebrate your achievement and status as an AWS Academy accredited educator. The AWS Academy graduate badges are designed specifically student badges are designed to help our students and graduates validate and showcase their expertise, strengthen their resumes, and connect with potential employers. Once students complete all the course modules, they will be invited to click a link in the AWS Academy LMS and claim their badge. The different colors refer to the course level: Black is foundational (i.e. AWS Academy Cloud Foundations), blue is associate-level (i.e. AWS Academy Cloud Developing), and purple refers to a specialty course, like AWS Academy Data Analytics.

AWS Educate provides learners with online, self-paced cloud learning resources at no cost. With content aligned to specific career paths, AWS Educate learners to the cloud computing technologies driving innovation in artificial intelligence, voice and facial recognition, gaming, medicine, and more. Learners can complete any of our cloud career pathways, explore hundreds of hours of content, and earn credentials. Also, with the AWS Educate Job Board, learners can explore thousands of job and internship opportunities at companies building on AWS around the world. AWS Job Board is connecting learners to employment.
